Admissions

Consultation Outcome
As the Admission Authority for Silverdale Primary Academy, Perth Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 7EA, the University of Brighton Academies Trust conducted a public consultation on the admission arrangements for children starting school in September 2026 which ran from 13 December 2024 to 31 January 2025.
Admission Authorities are required to consult if they intend to change their admission arrangements from those determined in the previous year with the Trust proposing:
- A new oversubscription criterion giving priority to children subject to a Special Guardianship Order or Kinship Care arrangement who have not previously been in Local Authority Care where this has been formally recognised by the Family Court.
- That detail be added to the policy to confirm the procedure for applications for children to be educated outside of their normal age group
- There were no proposed changes to the Published Admission Number (PAN) or the catchment area
One consultation response was received from East Sussex County Council with no objections raised to the arrangements for Silverdale Primary Academy and the Board of Trustees have subsequently determined the final admission arrangements from September 2026 which can be seen here.
Silverdale Primary Academy welcomes all applications for prospective new students. Most students join at the start of Reception, during the admissions round.
If you would like to apply for your child to join us outside of the admissions round, you can make an in-year application. Details of both can be found on this page.
