Welcome to EYFS ideas for Home Learning   w/b 22nd February 2021

Good Morning and Welcome Back…we hope you had a relaxing week off. 

This term is going to be based around an exciting and fascinating subject – SPACE! Based on the story ’Whatever Next!’ by Jill Murphy. The children will begin learning about this in a creative and imaginative way. Next week will become more informative.

As in Term 3 please email your child’s learning in. We are collating all of this for your child’s learning journey and it is important to try to maintain some routine and learning. Then when they return to school it will be a smoother transition.

Please be aware that all the teachers are still teaching class bubbles in school, so they may not be able to respond immediately - but they will get back to you as soon as they can!

EVERYDAY-We ask you spend 20 minutes on DoodleMaths, Fast Phonics and Reading Eggs please.

 

In addition to the daily plan here are some fun activities you may like to do throughout the week;

Write a list of foods you would like for your lunch. Then can you pack a picnic lunch to take to space? Don’t forget your teddy!

Can you design your own space rocket model using recycling materials?

How about making a telescope so you can watch the night sky?

Can you build a rocket/space shuttle using construction, like bricks or Lego?

Can you make some ‘galaxy playdough’?

Recipe for galaxy playdough!

1 Tbsp. of cooking oil

1 Tbsp. cream of tartar

1 cup of salt

Baby Bear meets an owl on his journey, can you discover some interesting facts about owls?
