Monday:  Geography – Watch the Geography power point here: WEEK2-Geography-AnimalHabitatPowerpoint.ppt.  Draw lines to match the animal to its habitat on this sheet: WEEK2-Geography.pdf, then write a sentence to tell us what the animal is and where it lives.  As a challenge, write a sentence to tell us why the animal is suited to its habitat.

Friday: DT  - Look at your shadow puppet theatre planning from last week.  Choose 2 animals that you would like to include in your puppet show.  Use 2D shapes to create the shape of your animal.  Draw around these onto cardboard and cut them out carefully.  Attach your animal template to a lolly stick, straw or pipe cleaner using glue or sellotape.  Send us the photographs of your fabulous puppets.  We can’t wait to see them!

This term, our topic is called ‘5 Go Wild’.  We will be learning about different animals, their habitats and diets.  We will discuss animals living in the wild and in captivity and make decisions on which we think is better and why. We will be making shadow puppet theatres and telling a ‘Wild story’ using our handmade puppets!

Monday:  Geography – Choose 2 animals, one which lives in our country, and one which comes from a different country.  Create a fact file about these animals, telling us what they are called, the type of animal they are, where they live (their habitat), what they eat (their diet) and how they are suited to where they live (have they adapted in any way so that they can live in their environment?).  Don’t forget to draw some pictures too!  We can’t wait to read your fact files!

The following powerpoint will explain a bit more about the holy book of the Jewish people, The Torah.  It will show some Hebrew letters. Can you make your own Torah? Wednesday:  Art   Listen to some music and paint what you can hear.  Free your mind.  What colour does the music sound like?  What shape is the music making?  When you have finished, label your artwork with the title of the music you listened to whilst creating it!
